About Association

The Staff Welfare Association (SWA) of Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology, Elavuvilai, stands as a pillar of support, unity, and empowerment for all members of the institution’s teaching and non-teaching faculty. Established with a vision to cultivate a harmonious academic ecosystem, the association is devoted to enhancing the overall quality of professional and personal life within the campus. The SWA is not merely a formal body; it is a vibrant collective that promotes inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous engagement. It provides a structured platform through which the voices, aspirations, and concerns of staff are not only heard but meaningfully addressed. The association envisions a collegial environment where every member of the academic community feels valued, supported, and inspired.

To build a robust, responsive, and people-centric framework that enriches the institutional climate by fostering staff well-being, promoting professional excellence, and strengthening human connections across the campus community. All staff members are earnestly encouraged to actively participate in the association’s initiatives, contribute ideas, and collaborate in cultivating a workplace that is intellectually vibrant, ethically grounded, and personally fulfilling.


Objectives of Career Guidance Cell

To enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the teaching and non-teaching staff through various welfare schemes, support systems, and wellness initiatives.

To cultivate a harmonious and inclusive work culture that values mutual respect, cooperation, and professional camaraderie among staff members.

To serve as a representative body for staff members in communicating needs, concerns, and suggestions to the college management in a constructive manner.

To plan and conduct events that foster team spirit, relaxation, and personal enrichment outside of regular professional duties.

To extend support to staff members in times of personal need or crisis through appropriate assistance, including financial aid when feasible.

To align all activities with the vision and mission of our institution, contributing to its growth as a center of excellence in education.

Schemes and Policy
Employee Provident Fund facility is provided to all the staff members.
All the staff members, both teaching and non-teaching avail of PF facility
Employee State Insurance is provided for employees whose Basic Pay + Grade Pay+ DA is less than Rs. 15000
Total of 39 staff members avail of ESI facility
Medical leave is provided for 30 days to all staff who complete 5 years of service
Casual leave is provided for 12 days per year to all staff.
Maternity leave is provided for 45 days for all female staff.
Study leave is provided by the college to the staff members.
Staff Welfare Association is permitted to function in the college which undertakes financial help to the needy.
Gratuity is provided to all staff at the time of resignation or retirement.
