The SC/ST Cell of Mar Ephraem College Of Engineering and Technology was constituted to ensure the protection and welfare of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) students.. The Cell is committed to addressing the academic and social issues faced by SC/ST communities and to promoting equality, empowerment, and inclusive growth within the campus environment.
To create awareness about constitutional provisions, government policies, and schemes for SC/ST communities.
To prevent and address any discrimination or unfair treatment on the basis of caste.
To act as a liaison between SC/ST students and various institutional bodies.
Redressal of grievances related to caste-based discrimination and academic issues.
Providing support in availing government scholarships and welfare schemes.
Conducting regular orientation and awareness programs for SC/ST students.
Post-Matric Scholarships: Guidance on application and disbursal of SC/ST scholarships.
Remedial Coaching: Additional academic support for students in need.
Financial Assistance: Help the needed student by Ephraem Manna
Career Guidance and Training: Special workshops and training programs to prepare SC/ST students for competitive exams and job opportunities.
Book Bank Facility: Provision of free or subsidized textbooks for SC/ST students
Workshops and Seminars on rights, reservation policies, and legal safeguards for SC/ST communities.
Celebration of National Days like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti and Tribal Day to honor the contributions of SC/ST leaders.
