Fulfilling the long-cherished vision of His Grace Most Rev. Lawrence Mar Ephraem, the first bishop of the Malankara Diocese of Marthandam, our prestigious institution was established on 26th August 2009 with an initial intake of 169 students across four B.E. programs. Today, under the administration of the Diocese of Marthandam Trust, led by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Vincent Mar Paulos, we have grown into a thriving educational institution with 1,514 students and 123 faculty members, offering five B.E. programs, one B.Tech program, three M.E. programs, one management program, and doctorate programs in Computer Science and Engineering as well as Mechanical Engineering.
With a commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment, our campus is designed with an eco-friendly approach and features four architecturally distinct blocks, namely Mar Gregorios, Mar Baselios, Mar Ivanios, and the Library, which together create an inspiring academic atmosphere.
As a recognized center of excellence, Mar Ephraem College of Engineering & Technology has achieved several prestigious accreditations and recognitions. The institution has been accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade in 2024 and is a DST-FIST supported institution. Additionally, the Civil, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering programs have been accredited by NBA (Tier-II) for the period 2022-2025. The institution also serves as a Nodal Centre of Anna University, facilitating advanced learning and research collaborations.
Staying true to our motto, "Erga Lumen" (Towards Light), we continuously strive for academic and research excellence. We have secured 18 funded research projects from various government organizations, reinforcing our commitment to innovation and technological advancement.
Beyond academics, our institution takes great pride in its social responsibility and student engagement programs. We actively participate in NCC, NSS, and YRC initiatives, along with various national programs sponsored by the Government of India, including mBAJA, PMKVY, Skill India, Inspire, SAE-Supra, and E-Yantra. With an outstanding placement record, our graduates are well-placed across leading industries, and our well-connected AMEOS alumni network continues to flourish both in India and abroad.
