Objective and Purpose of the Students Grievance Redressal Cell

The primary objective of the Students’ Grievance Redressal Cell (SGRC) is to provide a fair, transparent, and accessible platform for students to voice their grievances and concerns. It aims to create a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning and personal development.

To Ensure Timely Resolution: Address student complaints and grievances promptly and effectively through a well-defined process..
To Promote Transparency and Fairness: Establish a transparent system that ensures fair treatment of student concerns regarding academic, administrative, or personal issues.
To Enhance Student Satisfaction: Foster a positive academic atmosphere by resolving grievances and ensuring that student voices are heard and respected.
To Uphold the dignity, rights, and well-being of women on campus through redressal procedures that are in line with legal standards.
To Prevent Escalation of Issues: Resolve issues at an early stage to prevent them from growing into larger conflicts or disruptions.
To Encourage Student Participation: Empower students to express their concerns without fear of victimization or discrimination.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Students Grievance Redressal Cell (SGRC)



The Students Grievance Redressal Cell (SGRC) is entrusted with the duty to ensure a safe, harassment-free working and learning environment for all women on campus. The key roles and responsibilities of the ICC include:
✅ 1. Receiving and Acknowledging Grievances:
  • Act as the primary body to receive complaints or grievances from students.
  • Ensure proper documentation and acknowledgment of every grievance submitted.
✅ 2. Examining and Investigating Complaints:
  • Conduct fair and impartial investigations into grievances.
  • Gather relevant information from students, faculty, and administrative staff as needed.
✅ 3. Ensuring Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation:
  • Maintain the confidentiality of complainants to protect them from any form of retaliation or victimization.
  • Create a secure environment where students feel safe to voice their concerns.
✅ 4.Facilitating Redressal and Resolution:
  • Recommend timely and appropriate actions to resolve the grievance.
  • Collaborate with concerned departments or authorities to implement solutions effectively..
✅ 5. Monitoring and Follow-up:
  • Track the status of each grievance to ensure timely closure.
  • Follow up with complainants to confirm satisfaction with the resolution.
✅ 6. Promoting Awareness:
  • Educate students about the grievance redressal mechanism through orientations, notices, or institutional websites.
  • Encourage students to use the system responsibly and effectively.
✅ 7. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain proper records of all grievances, investigations, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Submit periodic reports to institutional authorities or regulatory bodies (like UGC, NAAC, etc.) as required.
✅ 8. Advising Institutional Improvements:
  • Analyze patterns or recurring issues in student grievances.
  • Provide suggestions for policy or procedural changes to improve student welfare and institutional practices.
