TThe IET On Campus Chapter at Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology was inaugurated with the aim of creating a vibrant academic and professional community that connects students with global engineering advancements and leadership. As part of one of the world’s leading professional societies for engineers, the chapter works to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world technological practices. The chapter provides a platform for students to enhance their technical knowledge, leadership qualities, and global outlook by engaging in workshops, project showcases, hackathons, and industry talks. It fosters innovation, critical thinking, and ethical practices in engineering education through student-driven activities and industry collaboration.

THE IET-Mar Ephraem ON CAMPUS CHAPTER was inaugurated on 7 th September 2016, by Dr. Marshilin Bino, YP Chairman, IET KKLN and Dr. Joseph Jawahar, Chairman, IET KKLN with 50 new Student members and 2 Faculty members. Since then, the chapter has grown to be a driving force for many young aspiring engineers. Mr. M Manoj (Asst. Professor) is the On Campus Facilitator of the chapter.

Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE) is a professional body for interdisciplinary collaboration of systems science and engineering. ISSE is unique among the systems oriented institutions having the objective of bringing together scholars and practitioners from academic, business and R&D organizations for promoting the systems concept.

The society was started in 2010 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC, ISRO) with its Headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram and was formally registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and charitable societies registration act -1995. ISSE has 13 chapters across the country which are located at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bangalore, Manipal, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, Amaravati, Chandigarh, Sriharikota-Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Kanniyakumari.

Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE) – Kanniyakumari Chapter was inaugurated on 3rd December, 2020 by Dr.K.Sivan, Chairman, ISRO/Secretary, DOS. Shri. K. Alaguvelu, Director, IPRC hosted the function. Dr.B.N. Suresh, Chancellor, IIST and Shri. Kunhikrishnan, National President, ISSE in their opening remarks showered wishes to ISSE Kanniyakumari chapter.

Shri. J. Asir Packiaraj, Associate Director, IPRC as President, ISSE- Kanniyakumari chapter steers the chapter in achieving the objectives.
